Bonchon at Ayala Triangle Gardens

Even if I live in Makati, I don’t frequent Ayala Triangle Gardens. It used to be just a park, which gets truly beautiful during Holiday season. But I think I’ll be frequenting the place because there are now restaurants including Bonchon Crispy Chicken. I went there last Thursday to eat with my friends. From Ayala Avenue, just go from the entrance of the Gardens and once there, turn right and you’ll see different places to eat. I saw Banapple, Coffee Green & Tea Leaf and many other dine-in places. But I was there for Bonchon.
When I went inside, my friend’s already there and so we ordered. I had their chicken wings meal that is worth P135 (drinks included). I opted for the not spicy wings. I also ordered fries and as if it’s not enough, I ordered chicken burger and 6pcs of chicken wings for take out. The chicken is very tasty that I just want to munch on it without rice. Hubby also liked it and said I should have ordered a dozen pieces.
I want to go to Ayala Triangle Gardens again to get Bonchon! Hmmm, maybe tomorrow because lunch is ready.

Pancit Pato

One of the twins’ baby sitter took a day off yesterday. When she got back, she brought a pack of sotanghon (cellophane noodles). I thought at first the noodles she brought was made of pato (duck) because she said “who wants to eat pancit pato?” I was shocked thinking how can a noodle be made of a duck? When I saw the packaging, there were drawings of duck and realized it was just a brand, LOL!
She said the noodle is yummy that she can eat it even without any garnishing. I’ll have to see and taste if it’s true. The noodle was bought from Iloilo when her cousin arrived.

Iloilo’s La Paz Batchoy

I’ve always known of the instant La Paz Batchoy. I haven’t eaten the real one, until recently where I was able to taste the real La Paz Batchoy from Iloilo. No, I didn’t go to Iloilo, but in SM Mall of Asia. Ted’s La Paz Batchoy serves authentic noodle soup from Iloilo. Me and hubby ordered each a bowl with rice cake. It’s really yummy but we both have to be careful of eating too much. We’re afraid to get a high blood pressure after because there are lots of chicharon (fried pork rinds) and pork fats.
Now I know that whenever I crave for this yummy noodle soup, I’ll go to Ted’s MOA branch. But of course, I’d want to try and eat La Paz Batchoy in Iloilo. The province have lots of native foods to offer and this soup is one of those.

Eating Galore at Yakimix Greenbelt 3
So I’ve posted that we’ll be eating at Yakimix Greenbelt 3. The next day, we left the house at 11am and arrived at Greenbelt 3 around 11:30am. We parked at Greenbelt 5 since hubby thought it’s located at Greenbelt 5 third floor. So we walked a long way going to Greenbelt 3. There were a lot of people there already but there were still a few tables vacant. If we arrive a few minutes later then we won’t be able to dine in there and DK will be disappointed.
DK’s height was measured (kids below 3ft are free). Afterwards, we got the food we were to grill. I only got bacon, beef slices, cured pork and chicken. There are Japanese food like maki, sushi, salmon, tempura and more but I didn’t get it. I was supposed to get a tempura but the plate is always empty. Glad hubby got a shrimp for us to grill and I’m very satisfied with that.

Hubby got salmon, beef, cold cuts, kebab, squid and hotdogs for DK.

It was fun cooking the food on our own. Hubby just complained that all me and DK do was eat while he cooked, LOL!

We didn’t eat much rice and just munched on the meat and seafoods. After that, me and DK went to the dessert station to get cakes, brownies, cheesecake and cup cake (yeah, and we ate it all). As if it’s not enough, we went to get some ice cream.

Before we went home, DK asked for another round of ice cream so we got a cup again, LOL!
I would definitely like to go back at Yakimix again. Maybe we’ll hold the twins’ birthday party there.
